 Breaking news!  St. Paul's secondary school Odugbeho Agatu emerged as best in a recent Quiz competition.  In a recent quiz organized by "Idoma Nation Education Advocacy Foundation (INEF) St. Paul's secondary school Odugbeho Agatu clinched the first position in the Maiden Edition Of Quiz Competition Organized by "Idoma Nation Education Advocacy Foundation (INEF) held in Leach Hotel, Otukpo on 26th October,2023.   They outshined strong competitor secondary schools in Benue South.  The school was awarded a cash prize of #500,000 and other rewards. The dean of staff, Mr. Ademu Ikoja Ph.D. in view, expressed his gratitude to God, and to "Idoma Nation Education Advocacy Foundation (INEF) maiden edition quiz held in Leach Hotel, Otukpo on 26th October 2023, and commended the outstanding performance of his students. He described them as excellent, stating that their victory was a triumph for the entire Odugbeho community, Agatu local government, and Benue state.   Agatu's talent deserves celebration in all ramifications. NNPC/SEPLAT Joint Venture has announced the commencement of its 2023 / 2024 National Undergraduate Scholarship Programme. The scholarship award is open to deserving undergraduate students of Federal and State Universities in Nigeria. The SEPLAT JV Scholarship Scheme is one of Seplat's educational Corporate Social Responsibility programmes and is designed to promote educational development and human capacity building through provision of yearly grants to successful applicants to complete their degree programmes. The IDOMA people of Benue State and Okoho Soup

  IDOMA DELIGHT; OKOHO SOUP Okoho is the main traditional soup of the Idoma people, it is also known as OTUTULU by the Agatu people. Okoho soup is made out of a medicinal stem scientifically known as Cissus Populnea. To prepare this soup, you'll need ingredients like Bush meat, any other protein of your choice, Okoho stem, Okpehe( Locust bean), Pepper, Seasoning and Palm oil which is totally optional.   Let's take you through a step by step process on how to make this delight: 1. Scrap off the bark from the Okoho stem and shred the stem into strands by hitting it with a pestle. 2. Place the shredded strand in hot water, allow to soak for a few minutes then squeeze the stem till it becomes slimy. Remove the stem and set the slimy extract apart. 3. Now, go ahead to cook your Bush meat together with any protein till it's soft. 4. Add some water to that stock, then go in with your Okpehe, seasoning, pepper and other ingredients.
